Anglo Continental - UK Summer School
Anglo Continental School of English, established in 1950 as a family business, is a prestigious boutique language school that has educated over 400,000 students from more than 120 countries. Located in Bournemouth, one of England's most beautiful coastal cities, Anglo Continental has one of the largest language school campuses in England and is notable for being within walking distance of both the city center and the 12 km long beach.
Anglo Continental, which offers English language education to adult students year-round, offers various English language courses to students aged 10-17 during the summer period. In Anglo Continental Summer School programs, students from over 70 different countries improve their English while staying with families located in different parts of the city, both practicing and getting the chance to experience British culture up close.
In Bournemouth, which hosts Bournemouth University and ranks high among students' preferences with its beach, entertainment venues, climate, tourist attractions, transportation alternatives and being only 2 hours by train from London, you can receive high-standard English language education. Education
English Language + Activity Course (10-13 & 14-16 Years)
20 lessons / 15 hours of General English per week are offered. Students are provided with training in reading, writing, listening, fluent speaking, etc. to use English more confidently and effectively within the program. In addition, various activities are organized 5 days per week within the program content. Suitable for students at A1-C1 level. Program start dates should be checked separately for students with A1 level English.
Vacation Course (16-17 Years) / IELTS Preparation + Vacation Course (16-17 Years)
Vacation Course (16-17 Years): 20 lessons/ 15 hours of General English per week are offered. Students will have the opportunity to expand their vocabulary, learn grammar and develop their English skills during the program. Suitable for students at A1-C1 level. Program start dates should be checked separately for students with A1 level English. IELTS Preparation + Vacation Course (16-17 Years): 20 Lessons / 15 hours of General English + 10 lessons/ 7.5 hours of IELTS preparation per week are offered. Pre-Intermediate level English is required to participate in the program. (Start dates: June 15, June 29, July 13 and July 27, 2026) IELTS exam fee is not included.
Accommodation
Homestay, twin rooms, shared bathroom (average 30 minutes from school by public transport or walking). For students aged 10-13, transfer service between accommodation and school is provided and included in the fee. For ages 14-16, the same transfer service can be obtained for an additional fee. Single room option can also be offered if additional fee is paid.
Meals
Three meals per day are provided. The school provides lunch, while the family where the student stays provides breakfast and dinner.
Activities
A wide variety of activities including cinema, bowling, talent show, mini golf, beach games, table tennis, disco, volleyball, shopping trips, treasure hunt, film making, Escape Room, karaoke and other fun games are offered for times outside of class.
Trips
1 full day and 1 half day trip are offered per week. IELTS Preparation course offers only 1 full day trip. Sample Trip Program: Windsor Castle, London Walking Tour, Longleat Safari Park, Bath and Stonehenge, Thorpe Park, Bovington Tank Museum and Jurassic Coast, New Forest National Park and Wildlife Center, Portsmouth, Oxford, Weymouth and the Sea Life Centre Oxford
Schools provide the trip program as an example and reserve the right to change trip program destinations due to weather conditions, availability or other external factors. In addition, there is no participation in trip programs on arrival and departure days.
Airport Transfers
Transfer service from London airports is provided for an additional fee. In addition, there is bus transfer service from Heathrow every Sunday between June 07 - August 02, 2026 and to Heathrow every Sunday between June 21 - August 16, 2026 for an additional fee. Arrivals and departures are on Sundays.
Airport transfer days and times are fixed. Additional fees are charged outside these hours and days. You can get detailed information about transfers from your consultant.
Health Insurance
Insurance service can be obtained from the school for an additional fee.
Extra Fees
Flight tickets, health insurance and visa expenses are not included in the fees. There is a mandatory £40 Guardianship fee for students under 16 participating in the English Language + Activity Program for more than 4 weeks.
