St Mary's School St.Giles - UK Summer School
St Mary's School, established in 1898, is a prestigious boarding school that has specialized in girls' education for over 120 years, serving students aged 03-18. Located in the safe and historic region of Cambridge, it stands out as a destination where students can experience British culture firsthand.
St Mary's School, located just a short walk from the city center and only a few minutes from the train station, opens its accommodation and recreational facilities to summer school students during the summer months in addition to the education it provides year-round. St Mary's School Summer School, located approximately 60 minutes by train from London and 40 minutes by car from Stansted Airport, offers students the opportunity to study in a traditional boarding school.
In addition to the tennis courts, netball court and sports halls on campus, there are athletics fields, cricket nets, tennis courts, hockey, rugby and football fields nearby. With St Mary's School Summer School offered by St Giles International for students aged 08-17, you can also have the opportunity to both stay on campus and receive education.
Education
General English
Students are offered 20 lessons / 16.5 hours of general English lessons per week. Students can optionally include the English Plus option free of charge in addition to the English lesson program. It is offered 5 hours per week in the afternoon. Options include; Exam Skills (IELTS, TOEFL, FCA, CEA), performing arts or university studies taster (opportunity to experience life at a British university). (Opening classes for English Plus additional lessons depends on the minimum number of students being met.)
Accommodation
On-campus, 1-4 person rooms, shared bathroom (1 bathroom for every 5 people)
Meals
Three meals per day are provided.
Activities
Activities such as Disco, Film Evenings, Dance Parties, Board Game Evenings, Water Olympics, Karaoke, T-shirt Painting, Baseball Tournaments are offered for times outside of class.
Trips
1 full day and 3 half day trips are offered per week. Sample Trip Program: London, London Eye, Westminster Walking Tour, Fitzwilliam Museum, Museum of Zoology, King's College Tour, Arsenal Stadium Tour, Botanic Garden, Norwich, Stratford Avon Upon
Schools provide the trip program as an example and reserve the right to change trip program destinations due to weather conditions, availability or other external factors. There is no participation in trip programs on arrival and departure days.
Airport Transfers
For an additional fee, meet and greet service is provided to students from Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports. Arrivals and departures are on Sundays.
Airport transfer days and times are fixed. Additional fees are charged outside these hours and days. You can get detailed information about transfers from your consultant.
Health Insurance
Insurance service is provided free of charge by the school.
Extra Fees
Flight tickets and visa expenses are not included in the fees.
