Abbey College - UK Summer School
Abbey College stands out as one of the best high schools in the United Kingdom, having helped thousands of boarding students achieve academic success since its establishment in 1994. Located in Cambridge, which is known for its historic colleges, architecture, and natural beauty, Abbey College is a 20-minute walk from the city center.
The Abbey College Summer School program, offered through Embassy Summer, one of the world's most successful summer school organizations, opens its doors to students aged 12-17 who want to improve their English language proficiency.
With its sports centers, on-campus shopping areas, modern campus in the city center, proximity to the University of Cambridge botanical gardens, and Cambridge train station, Abbey College offers English language education and academic programs to students during the program period.
Education
1) General English
In this program, students receive 15 hours of general English education per week. It is planned to develop students' social skills through activity and excursion programs offered outside of class time.
2) Young Professionals
This special course allows students to study MBA-style modules. 15 hours of training per week is provided and all modules are covered. The modules offered are as follows:
- Innovation and Creativity in Organizations (creativity in global competitive environment)
- Leadership Plus (talent management and decision making)
- Accounting & Financial Management (basic concepts of business accounting)
- Strategic Thinking (innovative and strategic business plans)
- Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation (business creation, innovation, business management)
- Project Management (time, cost relationship and risk management)
- Marketing & Brand Development (marketing skills and professional skills)
Minimum B2+ level language proficiency is required to participate in this course. A 'Critical Thinking Workshop' is offered every week. In this workshop, training is provided by an expert team and it is aimed to develop students' critical thinking skills.
Accommodation
Tripos Court, single rooms with private bathroom (5 minutes walk from school)
Meals
Three meals are served every day.
Activities
Activities such as karaoke, disco, quiz, mini olympics, football, talent competitions, volleyball, basketball, etc. are offered for times outside of class.
Trips
1 full day and 1 half day trip are offered per week. Sample Trip Program: King's College, River Cam, Cambridge University Botanical Gardens, London, Oxford, Covent Garden

Airport Transfers
Students are met and sent off from London airports for an additional fee. Arrivals and departures are on Sundays.

Health Insurance
Insurance service is provided by the school for an additional fee.
Extra Fees
Airline tickets, airport transfers, health insurance and visa expenses are not included in the fees.
