Stafford House Canterbury – UK Summer School
Stafford House International is an established language school that provides language education year-round. Stafford House, which has branches in 3 different cities, namely London, Cambridge and Canterbury, organises summer camp programmes for international students at its Canterbury centres during the summer months.
Stafford House Canterbury, located within a very short walking distance from Canterbury city centre, is also located very close to the tourist locations of Canterbury, a historic city. Modern equipped classrooms, private study room, library and many more facilities that can meet the needs of students in the school building are waiting for students participating in the summer camp. Depending on the programme, education is provided at Stafford House Canterbury, The Worthgate School and Canterbury College campuses.
Stafford House Canterbury Summer School programmes, offered under the organisation of Stafford House, are open to international students aged 14-17.
Education
Classic English
15 hours of general English lessons per week are provided to students. The programme will be supported by activities and trips. Maximum programme duration is 3 weeks. (Between June 14 - August 23, 2026)
Intensive English
23 hours of general English lessons per week are provided to students. The programme will be supported by activities and trips. Maximum programme duration is 3 weeks. (Between June 21 - August 23, 2026)
Careers in Medicine
It is an ideal programme for students who want to study medicine, dentistry and veterinary departments and aim for a career in these fields. Minimum B2 level English language proficiency is required to participate in the programme. Programme duration is 2 weeks. (Between June 28 - July 26, 2026)
Model United Nations
It is an ideal programme for students aiming for a career in International Relations. The programme aims to conduct research in fields such as history, politics, economics, law, geography and psychology and develop problem-solving skills. During the programme, a visit to a local university will be organised, research will be conducted at the British Library, and finally the programme will end with a United Nations Conference. Minimum B2 level English language proficiency is required to participate in the programme. Programme duration is 3 weeks. (Between July 5 - July 26, 2026)
Classic English + Basketball
15 hours of general English + 9 hours of Basketball training per week are provided to students. Students of all levels are accepted. Programmes start on Sundays. Basketball programme dates are organised together with the student upon the students' requests. A minimum of 6 students is required for this programme to open.
Accommodation
2 different accommodation alternatives are offered. Only residence accommodation is offered to students participating in Careers in Medicine and Model United Nations programmes. Residence Accommodation: Students stay in 1-4 person rooms with bathroom. Homestay Accommodation: Students stay in 2-person rooms. Bathroom is shared.
Meals
Three meals per day are provided.
Activities
Various sports, art and game activities are offered to students for times outside of classes.
Trips
1 full day and 1 half day trip per week are offered. Sample Trip Programme: London, Brighton, Cambridge, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, Chatham Historic Dockyards, Thorpe Park, Windsor, Oxford. Trip programmes may vary according to the preferred academic programme. Career in Medicine 2 full day trips per week / Model United Nations 3 full day trips per week 3 educational area visits
Schools provide the trip programme as an example and reserve the right to change trip destinations due to weather conditions, availability or other external factors. There is no participation in trip programmes on school arrival and departure days.
Airport Transfers
Free transfer service is provided from London airports. Arrivals and departures are on Sundays.
Airport transfer days and times are fixed. Extra fees are charged outside these hours and days. You can get detailed information from your consultant.
Health Insurance
Students who wish can receive health insurance service from the school for an additional fee.
