University College London (UCL) Summer School - St.Giles
UCL, founded in 1826, is notable for being the third oldest university in the UK. University College London summer school classes and residences are located in the Fitzrovia area and are within easy walking distance. University College London ranks 22nd in the 2025 Times Higher world rankings and 4th best university in the United Kingdom.
Thanks to its central location in London, students will feel as if they are in a time machine among the unique architectural structures on London's historic streets. UCL Summer School is organised at Ramsay Hall campus. This campus is 40 minutes by car from Heathrow Airport and 60 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Students located just 20 minutes by train from the London Eye will have an unforgettable London experience with the summer school programme offered at the UCL campus, thanks to its great learning environment, fun facilities and activities.
University College London (UCL) Summer School offers an unforgettable summer school experience to students aged 12-17, organised by St Giles International. Students stay in UCL student residences.
Education
General English
Students are provided with 20 lessons / 16.5 hours of general English lessons per week. Students can optionally add 5 hours of Exam Skills per week in the afternoon to their English lesson programme. Exam Skills: Provides training on the skills required for IELTS, FCE, CAE, TOEFL exams. (Opening a class for additional lessons depends on meeting the minimum number of students.)
Accommodation
Residence, single room, shared bathroom (varies by floor, 1 bathroom for every 6 or 10 people). Residences are 15-20 minutes walk from the school.
Meals
Three meals per day are provided.
Activities
Activities such as Disco, Karaoke, Mini Olympics, Flag Race, Movie Night, Madame Tussauds, Westminster walking tour, Entertainment Nights, Sports Activities are offered during out-of-class times.
Trips
1 full day and 2 half day trips per week are offered. Sample Trip Program: London Eye, Times River, Shakespeare Globe Theatre, Camden Market, Hyde Park, London Zoo, Windsor Castle, London Olympic Park, Brighton Tour.
Schools provide the trip programme as an example and reserve the right to change trip destinations due to weather conditions, availability or other external factors. There is no participation in trip programmes on school arrival and departure days.
Airport Transfers
Students are provided with meeting and seeing off service from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports for an additional fee. Arrivals and departures are on Sundays.
Airport transfer days and times are fixed. Extra fees are charged outside these hours and days. You can get detailed information from your consultant.
Health Insurance
Insurance service is provided free of charge by the school.
Extra Fees
Flight tickets and visa expenses are not included in the fees.
