Clifton College - UK Summer School
The college is situated in Clifton which is a quiet suburb 2 miles from Bristol city centre. The city is famous for its art, culture and heritage. Students can explore the many things to do here including visiting the SS Great Britain, enjoying the art galleries and the M Shed Museum, shopping, and exploring the cobbled streets looking for street art. There is a buzz about Bristol which is very unique; it's an exciting place to be and there's always something new to see.
Clifton College is a boarding school in Southwest England which was founded in 1862. It boasts a wide collection of facilities with 100 acres of sport grounds including tennis courts, a swimming pool, football pitches and gyms. The buildings across the campus are a mixture of old and new and include Grade 2 listed buildings giving this centre a real traditional English boarding school feel.
Clifton College Summer School programmes offered by UKLC provide English language education and various activities to students aged 8-17.
Education
General English
15 hours of General English education per week are provided.
Accommodation
Homestay, multi-bedded rooms (2-6) with shared bathrooms
Meals
Meals are provided by the host family in homestay accommodation.
Activities
Various sports, arts and social activities are offered for times outside of classes.
Trips
1 full day and 2 half day trips per week are offered. Sample Trip Programme: Bath with Roman Baths, Bristol with S.S. Great Britain, Cardiff with Boat Trip, Cheddar Gorge, Clifton Orientation with Clifton Observatory, Wales with Chepstow Castle
Schools provide the trip programme as an example and reserve the right to change trip destinations due to weather conditions, availability or other external factors.
Airport Transfers
Students are met and sent off from Bristol Airport for an additional fee.
Airport transfer days and times are fixed. Extra fees are charged outside these hours and days. You can get detailed information from your consultant.
Health Insurance
Insurance service can be obtained from the school for an additional fee.
Extra Fees
Flight tickets, health insurance, airport transfers and visa expenses are not included in the fees.
